-
Why do I need to use the Body Refining Exfoliant?
It’s a key step in the Crépe Erase system. The Body Refining Exfoliant exfoliates skin for more even tone and smoother texture. Formulated with our exclusive TruFirm Complex and a blend of gentle exfoliators (AHA/BHAs), this silky body polish removes dull surface layers to uncover noticeably smoother, softer, more radiant skin and allows for better absorption of the Body Repair Treatment — so your skin reaps all the benefits of the powerful formula and ingredients.
-
Do I use the Body Refining Exfoliant in or out of the shower?
Apply it to wet skin in the shower or bath. Massage using gentle circular motions to help remove dead skin cells.
-
How often should you exfoliate your body?
Our Body Refining Exfoliant is an important part of our 2-step system and formulated to be used once daily on most all skin types for optimum results to treat crepey skin. Here are some guidelines:
Normal Skin: You can exfoliate daily.
Sensitive Skin: Try using once daily and if the skin has any sensitivity, try every other day.
Oily or Acne-Prone Skin: 2-3 times a week, acne-prone skin can be very sensitive.
Crepey Skin: Exfoliate daily and always follow with a moisturizer (Body Repair Treatment).
It's important to listen to your skin and adjust your routine accordingly. If exfoliating daily makes your skin feel sensitive or look red, reduce the frequency. Always follow up with a moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. -
Can you use aha and retinol together?
If you are using a retinol product in addition to our Body Refining Exfoliant with AHA, it is important to use these products at different times as using in the same day can lead to dryness, redness, and irritation. It is important to use a sunscreen when using these products.
-
Do you exfoliate before or after body wash?
It is generally recommended to use Body Refining Exfoliant after using body wash. Washing your body first removes dirt and oils so the exfoliant can work better, and target dead skin cells. Also, your skin is damp after washing which helps the exfoliant work better. However, make sure to rinse your body thoroughly before exfoliating, and afterwards, use a hydrator like our Body Repair Treatment.
-
How to apply exfoliant?
Apply exfoliant to clean, damp skin. Applying to damp skin helps the product to work more effectively. When applying, use a generous amount and gently rub in circular motions, focusing on areas with crepey skin. Rinse. Pat skin dry, and apply a hydrator (Body Repair Treatment) when finished to help maintain smoothness and softness.
-
Does exfoliating help crepey skin?
Exfoliation helps target crepey skin in many ways. However, make sure to exfoliate crepey skin daily which helps prep the skin for Body Repair Treatment.
Removes Dead Skin Cells: Exfoliation helps to slough off dead skin cells, which can make the skin look dull and emphasize the crepey skin texture.
Stimulates Cell Renewal: Regular exfoliation promotes cell turnover, leading to fresher, newer skin cells coming to the surface. This can improve the skin's texture and tone over time.
Improves Product Absorption: Exfoliating allows moisturizers and other skincare products absorb more effectively, which is crucial for hydrating and plumping up the skin.
Increases Blood Circulation: The massaging action during exfoliation can increase blood flow, which may help improve skin health and appearance. -
Does exfolitation remove dry skin?
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells, promotes skin cell turnover, eventually leading to healthier looking skin.
